Born in Rabat, Morocco, in 1981, Leïla Slimani has published four novels including Chanson douce (Gallimard), winner of the Goncourt Prize in 2016 and adapted into a film in 2019, starring Karin Viard and Leïla Bekhti, as well as Le Pays des autres and Regardez-nous danser. Today, she dedicates herself mainly to writing and is also the author of short stories, essays, and comics.
