Jeanne Rousselle

Very young, Jeanne developed a passion for live performance creations; she started at 5 with dancing at the conservatoire and discovered drama in middle school. Then, she joined the workshops of “la Comédie de Béthune” (National Dramatic Center in the Haut-de-France Region) and took part in street shows projects directed by Transe Express, Le Phun, and Tout Sambal’. Simultaneously to her studies in Spanish Literature and Language, she multiplied technical trainings (mask, physical theatre, marionettes, etc.). Her professional and university career weaves around theatre in a triple aspect: practical, theoretical and administrative. After a Research Master’s degree in Spanish Drama at the Complutense University of Madrid and at the Aix-Marseille University, she earned a doctorate in Arts, Language and Literature with a thesis on the “post-political” theatre of Rodrigo García and Angélica Liddell. At the same time, she integrated the drama class at the Conservatoire of Aix-en-Provence for 3 years. In 2016, once graduated, she participated in the creation of the company La Famille du 5ème and also joined the cultural action team of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence as project officer and actress speaker. Today, Jeanne fully dedicates herself into her actress and stage director activities and builds pedagogical projects for and with the people issued from social, educative, medical and medico-educative structures throughout the whole South Region.
