Your cruise will sart at Helsinki. Located on a peninsula surrounded by almost 300 islands, the verdant capital of Finland will charm you with its Art Nouveau architecture.
You will visit Tallinn, emblematic city of the Hanseatic League, the large trading network that dominated the Baltic Sea for several centuries. Listed as UNESCO Heritage Site, this once opulent city still have remarkably well-preserved public buildings, merchant houses and warehouses.
Le Champlain will then chart a course for Stockholm. Built on water, the Swedish capital embraces nature, which is omnipresent there. Its blend of medieval architecture, colourful houses and trendy neighbourhoods makes it a particularly enjoyable city to visit.
You will also discover Riga, capital of Latvia. A unique blend of different architectural styles, the old town will open itself up to you like the pages of a history book.
Further south, Klaipeda, formerly known as Memel, the main port town in Lithuania, is separated only by a narrow channel from the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO Heritage.
Your ship will call at Gdansk, famous for its amber stone and its shipyards, before reaching the seaside town of Warnemünde, renowned for its kilometres of beaches and its charming fishing port.

As Professor of Art History at the Paris-Val-de Marne Architecture School (now incorporated into the Paris-Val-de-Seine Architecture School) and IESA (international studies in history and the business of art & culture) in Paris, he is much appreciated by students for the clarity and precision of his teaching.
He is the official lecturer for Les Amis du Club de l’Art and works closely with many provincial museums, and prestigious institutions in the Île-de-France region like Polo de Paris and Golf de Saint-Cloud.
Serge Legat is regularly invited by historian Franck Ferrand to appear on radio and television as the expert in ancient and modern art. He also regularly contributes alongside Stéphane Bern to Secrets d’Histoire on France 2 and recently to a programme dedicated to the secrets of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome on RMC’s discovery channel.

During the days spent on board, you are advised to wear comfortable clothes or casual outfits. The entire ship is air-conditioned, so a light sweater, a light jacket or a shawl may be necessary. When moving about in the public areas of the ship and the decks, light but comfortable shoes are recommended.

In your hand luggage, remember to bring any medicines that you need, and possibly a small spare bag of toiletries (in case of delay in the delivery of your baggage by the airline). Opening onto the Baltic sea, to the far north of Estonia, the town of Tallin will win you over with the picturesque charm of its architecture. You can meander through its little streets in the heart of the medieval centre where its gothic town hall has been standing since 1404. The Kiek in de Kök tower, the Orthodox Alexander Nevski cathedral, or Toompea castle give visitors a taste of this town’s rich past. The city was particularly active during the medieval period, as is demonstrated by the very beautiful monuments from this period that are still visible. Don't hesitate to lose yourself in the heart of Tallinn, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the south-west of Finland, at the mouth of the Aura River, welcome to lush Turku! It’s ideal to wander about: travellers will be able to walk along the paved streets of the medieval town-centre or the lively banks of this charming city. Founded in the 13th century and controlled by the Kingdom of Sweden until 1812, Turku has a rich heritage that you will be able to discover during a visit to the Sibelius Museum, its famous castle or its cathedral. The exceptional natural setting constituted by the Turku Archipelago is a real haven of peace, which is full of walking trails.

The capital of Sweden occupies an archipelago in the east of the country at the junction of Mälar Lake and the Baltic sea. In Gamla stan, meaning “old town” in Swedish, you can stroll at your leisure in picturesque medieval streets until you reach the majestic Royal Palace. On the green island of Djurgården, you can visit several very different kinds of cultural centres: the Vasa museum is dedicated to a 17th century three-mast, the ecomuseum of Skansen presents traditional customs, and the ABBA museum is dedicated to the legendary pop group. For a fantastic, all-encompassing view of Stockholm, you can take a ride in SkyView, a glass-encased sphere gondola that takes you to the top of the world’s largest building, the Ericsson Globe, a Stockholm landmark.

Although it is one of the oldest cities in the Baltic states, with a unique atmosphere that is imbued with the memory of its medieval past, Riga is also tangibly dynamic and modern. As you stroll through its old town, you will enjoy its exceptional architecture, its cathedrals, the remains of old walls and the typical narrow streets. Nicknamed “the Paris of the North” in the 1930s, this cosmopolitan city boasts a rich heritage.

Klaipeda was founded in the 13th century by Christian crusaders from the German Order of Teutonic Knights. Its strategic location on the edge of the Baltic Sea has made it a source of conflict between Germans, Poles, Lithuanians and even the French since its creation. Today, the legacy of Klaipeda’s rich history is a great multiculturalism. This is the main port of Lithuania and the country’s third largest city. The beautiful landscapes of the surrounding Baltic coast make it a popular tourist destination. The city centre is very pleasant to visit due to its architecture blending German and Scandinavian influences.

This ravishing city on the Baltic sea is nicknamed “the golden door of Poland”, and you’ll understand why when you see its beautiful Hanseatic architecture. You’ll be charmed by the mouldings and gables that enhance the colourful façades of the houses. Along the Vistula Quays, you can take a pleasant stroll among the crafts shops. In elegant Mariacka street, the amber jewellers will most certainly tempt you into their boutiques. You can visit the church of Saint-Mary and its astronomic clock. Not far, the majestic Long Market square offers the famous Artus Court and the rich Gdansk History Museum.

Located at the estuary of the Warnow river, Warnemunde is a highly popular German seaside resort on the Baltic Sea. This 12th-century fishing village became a port of crucial importance to the economy of the Hanseatic City of Rostock in the 14th century. Today, the old fishermen’s houses have become shops and cafés, and beautiful mansions line the promenade. You will also be able to discover Rostock, where the city-centre architecture and the ramparts, built of bricks from Brandenburg, are a reminder of the city’s position in the Hanseatic League. Succumb to the charms of the merchant houses around New Market Square or of Saint Mary’s Church and its astronomical clock.

Connected to the far eastern side of Sealand island, a few kilometres away from the Swedish coasts, Copenhagen offers you the high colour of Scandinavian capitals. You can discover the city's riches that weaves through the canal networks through the historical districts of Christiansborg and Nyhavn. Many palaces provide an apercu of Danish history. For eating, you can try out the smorrebrod, traditional danish sandwiches made with ham, cheese or smoked fish.
From the pier, drive towards Sibelius Park. It was named after Finland's greatest composer Jean Sibelius on his 80th birthday in 1945. Here you can view the Sibelius Monument designed by Eila Hiltunen.
Then proceed to Temppeliaukio Church. Built from the natural bedrock, it is one of Helsinki's most popular tourist attractions. The interior walls are created naturally by the rock, hence its nickname the Rock Church. The church was opened in 1969. Due to its excellent acoustics, the church is a popular venue for concerts.
After the visit, drive to Senate Square; it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful urban squares in the world. The square is dominated by four buildings designed by Carl Ludvig Engel between 1822 and 1852: Helsinki Cathedral, the Government Palace, the main building of the University of Helsinki and the National Library of Finland.
Next, walk down from Senate Square to the very lively Market Place. Here, discover the real heart of Helsinki and enjoy free time walking around and tasting local foods. Re-board the coach for the return drive to the pier and ship.

From the Market Square, board a local ferry to reach Suomenlinna Island. The island is a major monument of military architecture. The construction of the sea fortress on the islands just off Helsinki in the middle of the 18th century was the most extensive building project during Swedish rule. When it was complete, its military shipyard was one of the biggest dry docks in the world and centres of know-how at that time. At the end of Swedish rule, the fortress was being compared with the maritime fortifications of Gibraltar. The 250-year-old fortress, which has been preserved intact because of its military use, is today part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Join your guide for a walking tour of the island. Enjoy a coffee stop with pastry and free time on the island.
From the fortress, head back to the mainland by ferry, where you will pass through the market before walking back to the ship.

Tallinn is a wonderfully preserved city of the Hanseatic League with its old town entered in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Departing from the pier, your coach will circle around the Old town, offering magnificent views of the medieval city wall.
You will start your guided walking tour in the Upper Town with its watch-towers, graceful spires and winding, cobbled streets. Visit the Russian Orthodox Church, inaugurated in 1900 and filled with a stunning array of superb icons. You will view the exterior of the castle which is now the seat of Estonia's parliament. Built on a cliff top the Upper Town provides superb vantage point from which to view the red gabled roofs and spires of the Lower Town.
Your tour will continue as you follow your guide down Long and Short Leg Streets to the Lower Town. The first visit here will be to a historical building in the city centre where you will be treated to a delightful Estonian folk show.
Once you are rested and ready to resume your touring, you will continue with a walking tour of the Lower Town. Among the highlights is the apothecary, which opened in 1422, the Great Guild House, Holy Ghost Church and the 15th century Gothic Town Hall (all from outside). Here in the heart of Tallinn, you will enjoy some free time before rejoining your coach and returning to the pier.

Departing from the pier by coach, you will pass the modern city centre with its hotels, banks and shopping centres. Reaching the Old Town, a stop is made at the Tall Hermann Tower to get an outside view of the imposing castle. You can walk to the Kiek in de Kök Tower to get a view of the towers and steeples of the Upper Town.
Continue your guided visit on foot to the old Hanseatic town viewing the Transfiguration church, Nun's Gate and numerous merchants' homes on your way. You can admire Gothic facades of the guild houses and the Holy Ghost church with the oldest street clock in Tallinn till you reach the Town Hall Square.
In the centre of the square is the 15th century Town Hall, one of the very few well-survived Gothic town halls in Europe. You will be treated a guided tour of this magnificent building visiting the citizens' hall which is now often used for VIP receptions and concerts as well as the councillors' hall where part of the unique 15th century furniture has been exhibited.
After the Town Hall inside visit, you can admire other old buildings that line the square paying a special attention to the facade of the Town Hall apothecary shop, probably the oldest pharmacy in Europe that has been functioning since 1422. You will also enjoy some free time there.
On the way back to your coach, pass the Viru gate, one of the three gates that has survived in the city wall.
Reboard your coach for the 15-minute return drive to your ship.

The tour will start by a drive through the main streets of Turku, the oldest city in Finland and the first capital of Finland. The name Turku originates from a Slavic word 'torg' - meaning a market place. The Swedish name for the town is Åbo, referring to the first settlers by the River 'Å'.
Located in the harbour area, the Turku Castle is part of Finland's national heritage and has witnessed many great events. The castle's heyday was in the 16th century, and the new Renaissance spirited storey was built during that time. One of the most popular sights of the castle is the prison cell where Duke Johan held his brother, the ousted King Erik XIV, prisoner in the 1570s. Medieval woodcarvings are on display in the castle's chapel.
The Russian Czars architect C.L. Engel gave the town a new town plan and some stately buildings. You will see the Orthodox Church and the Swedish Theatre at the market and an observatory building on the Vartiovuori Hill. The first Finnish University founded in Turku in 1640 and then transferred to Helsinki after the Great Fire in 1827.
You will then proceed to the Aboa Vetus or Ars Nova Museum located on the banks of the river Aura. You will visit the Aboa Vetus' historical exhibition to learn about the history of the city.
Next visit will take you to the Cathedral considered as one of the major records of Finnish architectural history.
You will then return to the pier.

You will start this excursion with a tour to the small summer city Naantali. The Old town of Naantali is like a large open-air museum by the sea with winding narrow streets lined with beautiful old wooden houses. A picturesque yacht harbour, boutiques, restaurants and the Moomin Valley (Moonmins are imaginary characters in the tales of the Finnish writer Tove Jansson) add all to the charm of Naantali. The Medieval Convent Church of Naantali is the main venue and very popular for concerts. After the walking tour in Naantali with your guide, you will have time to enjoy the old town and have the opportunity to purchase handicraft products in some of the old sheds.

Covering the city districts of Södermalm, Gamla Stan, Norrmalm, Östermalm and Djurgården, this tour offers an excellent introduction to Stockholm from land and from the water.
Drive through the enchanting medieval Old Town, the Gamla Stan, with the Royal Palace dating from the 18th century, overlooking Stockholm's inner harbor. It is surrounded by many other magnificent old houses and palaces.
Continue past the Royal Opera House and through the modern shopping and business areas at Hamngatan and Sergels Torg.
Leave the coach and board a motor launch for a 50-minute Royal Canal tour into the Stockholm's National City Park.
Cruise along Strandvägen, one of the most exclusive areas in Stockholm, and through the green and lush park areas of Djurgården. Once a Royal hunting area, today Djurgården functions as Stockholm's amusement and recreation center. It is home to great parklands, beautiful gardens, cafés and restaurants, the Gröna Lund Tivoli, the Skansen Open-Air Museum and the well-known Vasa Museum, which houses the 17th-century warship Vasa.
Out on more open water, you will pass Fjäderholmarna, the Feather Islands. Continue past Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde.
After the visit, reboard your coach for the panoramic return drive to the pier and your ship.

From the pier, start with some panoramic sightseeing to the island of Djurgården, where the number one attraction in Stockholm is located, the Vasa Museum. You will enjoy a guided visit of the mueum, housing the warship Vasa, once the pride of Sweden’s mighty navy. On her maiden voyage in 1628 she capsized and sank in Stockholm’s inner harbour. In 1961, after 333 years at the bottom of the water she was salvaged and is today restored to much of her original magnificence.
You will continue your visit through the northern outskirts of the city and through the scenic countryside en route to Sigtuna, an idyllic little town, approximately 45 minutes drive north of Stockholm and beautifully situated between the Lake Mälaren and cultivated areas bearing countless traces of old cultural traditions.
Sigtuna was founded around 980 on the threshold of a new age as the Viking period became the medieval period, and Sweden united into one kingdom. Sigtuna became the first Christian town in Sweden, a centre of the new religion.
Many stone churches were erected but only the ruins of three of them remain to be seen. You will discover this charming town with picturesque wooden houses, narrow alleys and the smallest Town Hall in Scandinavia, dating from 1744. During your visit, tour the major points of interest including one of the Church Ruins, the Town Hall, St Mary’s church and “Stora Gatan”, the oldest street in Sweden.
Finally, enjoy a 3 courses lunch served at a local resturant and have some free time before returning to your ship.

From the pier, board your coach for a 30-minute drive towards the City Hall.
The imposing City Hall is beautifully situated by the shores of the Lake Mälaren. Inaugurated in 1923 after 12 years of work, it is renowned for its architecture, murals, and mosaics, as well as for being the site of the annual Nobel Prize banquet. Experience the grandeur and spaciousness of the impressive Blue Hall and Golden Chamber and enjoy the beautiful view from the Garden.
Witness the historic elegance of the exterior of the Royal Palace, dating from the 18th century but built on the remains of the old castle “Three Crowns”, which dates as far back as the 12th century. Built on a hill in the Old Town, the Royal Palace has no less than 608 rooms. Visit the State Apartments, displaying magnificent baroque and rococo interiors.
Continue with your guide for a walk along the narrow streets of the Old Town and experience the medieval intimacy of what is today a living historical monument of international renown. Savour the bohemian atmosphere and the sense of age in houses dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries with Baroque doorways and coats of arms. You’ll pass by Stockholm Cathedral (the oldest church in Stockholm) and the Great Square in the centre of the Old Town, which is dominated by the old Stock Exchange, today housing the Nobel (Prize) Museum and the Swedish Academy.
Next, reboard your coach and continue the panoramic sightseeing en route to the Vasa Museum, for a guided visit. The museum was built around a 17th century warship, which sank in Stockholm’s inner harbour on its maiden voyage in 1628. Salvaged in 1961 and today restored to its former glory, the Vasa represents an authentic piece of living history.

From the pier, board your coach for the 10-minute drive to the wooden canal boats pier. Start your sightseeing tour by small wooden boat and enjoy Riga and its buildings, parks, boulevards along the city canal.
After a one-hour cruise on Riga Canal, leave your boat and board your coach again for a 20-minute drive through the modern part of the city. You will pass by the National Opera, the Music Academy, the Central Railway Station, the Council of Ministers and the main business street in Riga: Brivibas. Other highlights to encounter are the Esplanade Park with its monument to the famous Latvian poet Janis Rainis, the Academy of Art and the State Museum of Fine Arts.
Next, discover the historical Old Riga on foot and acquaint yourself with the churches, renovated buildings and the magnificent Dome Cathedral–a masterpiece of architecture. The Dome is famous for its prestigious organ, constructed in 1883, with more than 6,700 pipes. Continue your tour to the Town Hall Square, where you will see the House of Blackheads, the Roland Monument and St. Peter’s Church. Make a stop at Livu Square to see the Cat House and the guild houses.
After your walking in Old Riga, reboard your coach for the 10-minute return drive to the pier and your ship.

Start your tour by coach and enjoy a short driving along the boulevards, parks and charming green spots of Riga. During this part of the tour, see various examples of Art Nouveau buildings, as well as the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Freedom Monument erected in 1935 on the donations of citizens of Latvia, the Latvian University and the National Opera. From the pier, board your coach for a drive to the local ferry and cross the lagoon to the Curonian peninsula, which is also known as Neringa. The old legend says that the giant Neringa gathered an apron full of sand and poured a ribbon of sand to divide the sea from the lagoon and thus make fishermen safer from sea storms.
Next, drive through this picturesque narrow stretch of land, which is 60.3 miles (97 km) long and see the diverse nature of the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On the way, pass through the oldest fishing village of Juodkrante (Blackshore) with its Amber bay, Lutheran church, and beautiful villas.
After a 1-hour drive, arrive in the main settlement of Nida for a guided walk in the center : see the fishermen’s cottages, beautiful weathervanes, flat bottom boat Kurenas and have a chance to buy some souvenirs or have refreshments in a local restaurant during your free time.
Continue to the nearby Kazimieras Mizgiris Amber gallery where you will find out all there is to know about amber, its origins and places where it can be found. See impressive pieces of amber, beautiful jewelry as well as the exhibits from the “amber treasure of Juodkrante”.
After the visit, drive to the 52-meter high Great Dune, and view the magnificent panorama over the dunes and the town. On a sunny day, you can also see the Russian territory of Kaliningrad !
Then drive towards the sea for a short stop to see the long sandy beaches, which have been awarded the Blue Flag and are considered to be one of the best on the coast of the Baltic Sea before returning to the pier and your ship.

Depart from the pier by bicycle to the pedestrian ferry and cross the lagoon to the Curonian spit, a UNESCO Heritage site, which is also known as Neringa. The old legend says that the giant Neringa gathered an apron full of sand and poured a ribbon of sand to divide the sea from the lagoon and thus make fishermen safer from sea storms.
The short 10-minute trip by ferry across the lagoon to the Curonian spit is an enjoyable experience. Once you are on the Curonian Spit, bike along the lagoon passing Klaipeda yacht club on the way. Reach the Hagen Dune and make a stop to view the panorama of Klaipeda. Continue through the picturesque Curonian Spit and stop by the dunes. You will find out how the Curonian Spit forests were planted by human hands and saved the Spit from disappearance.
Continue on the forest trail and cycle out to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Klaipeda, also considered one of the best on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Take a break by the sea or get yourself a refreshment in the nearby cafe.
Ride to the 19th century Prussian military fort, which is now the Sea and Maritime Museum and greet the seals in the surrounding canal. Reach the very narrow Klaipeda Sea gate, where on your right you can see the Curonian lagoon and Klaipeda’s commercial port. On your left you will see the Baltic Sea.
On the way back to the ferry, ride along the breakwater. Pass old fishing vessels and a typical 19th century fishermen's farmstead before taking the ferry back to Klaipeda and bike to the heart of the Old town of Klaipeda. Stop at the Theatre Square and browse through the local craftsmen market before returning to the pier.

Kretinga is a quaint little town situated just a 30-minute drive north to Klaipeda. From the pier board your coach and drive to this city with its special charm.
You will first visit the Church of the Annunciation which dates back to the 17th century. On the grounds surrounding the church you will view the stations of the cross. See the 400-year-old main altar restored to its authentic glory and go down to the crypts.
The adjoining Franciscan monastery combines Renaissance and Baroque elements. The Franciscan brothers, who lived in the monastery, have made a great contribution to education in Lithuania. They opened the first school and later began publishing books and newspapers. The Franciscan monastery was closed by the tsarist government and again later in Soviet times. In 1992, after the independence, the Franciscans returned. They look after the church and hold warm and welcoming services. The church is invariably full when services are held. One of the brothers or sisters will guide you around the church if they are not at prayer.
Continue by coach through the center of Kretinga to Count Tiskevicius’ 19th century estate. This historic mansions is also widely known for its special home made chocolate, which is known since 18th century. You will be offered a cup of tea or coffee, special Count's chocolate and a piece of Lithuanian cake in a former Kretinga's Water Mill, which now houses a cozy family owned cafe.
Return by bus to Klaipeda and drive through the central streets. Pass the Neo-Gothic Post Office building, the Clock and Watches museum before making a stop in the Old Town of Klaipeda to view the sculpture of Annchen von Tharau in the Theatre Square.

From the pier, you will join your local guide and board your coach for a 40-minute panoramic drive to the medieval city of Bad Doberan, a popular summer residence for the family of the Duke of Mecklenburg.
Here, you will enjoy a photo stop at the famous Minster, the medieval Gothic abbey of Doberan, to take some pictures of this impressive building from the 13th century.
After a short transfer by coach, you will reach the Molli Steam train station, and be greeted by the Molli Conductor. Launched in 1886, Molli is the nickname of the Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn Molli train, the oldest narrow-gauge steam-powered railway on the Baltic coast, running on 900mm gauge track.
You will board your exclusively reserved carriage after a brief introduction about the history of the train. Sit back and enjoy a scenic ride whilst listing to the tour guide en route to the seaside resort of Kühlungsborn.

From the pier, board your coach with your local guide for an hour and a half minute journey to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck passing through the Northern German countryside.
Upon arrival in Lubeck meet your local guide and start your walking tour through the charming medieval old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first stop will be the impressive Holsten Gate, a relic of the old medieval fortifications that protected the city’s border then you will take a stroll through Lübeck’s romantic alleys and courtyards that extends like a labyrinth though the historical center. You will reach St. Mary’s Church, a medieval structure built in the 13th century and example of the German brick style of the north coast. Admire the buidling and listen to your guide's explanations, learning all about the church's history. You will then pass by the “Buddenbrooks” House, with its ornate façade and former home of the German writers Heinrich and Thomas Mann, both born in Lübeck. Next you will see one of Germany’s most impressive Town Halls, where you will gain a deeper inside on Lübeck as the “Queen of the Hanseatic League”. Heading back to the center you will pass by the Hospital of the Holy Spirit, originally built in the 13th century, it is one of Europe’s oldest charitable institutions caring for the sick and disadvantaged. Its impressive structure continues in the architectural pattern of the medieval brick style.
After this first experience of the city, you will enjoy lunch in one of the most famous local restaurants. Afterwards you will have free time to explore the treasures of this city independently.

Enjoy a comprehensive look at « Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen », as the song goes, by land and water. Copenhagen is surrounded by water and a network of bridges connects the two main islands of Sjaelland and Amager, on which the city is built.
At Gammel Strand, formerly the old fish market, leave your coach to board a canal boat. You can enjoy the view as you sail on the narrow canals, passing the Christianborg Palace and Nyhavn canal area, through the harbour where you will pass the new Opera House, and onwards to the Langelinie area where you may spot your own cruise ship! You will also cruise by the statue of the Little Mermaid.
Your leisurely cruise continues through the canals of Christianshavn, a very charming area with houseboats and very low bridges. It has picturesque old buildings and Our Saviour’s Church, with its unusual green and gold steeple. Enjoy the historic buildings side by side with the newer architecture.

Today, this palace is home to the Danish Parliament, the Supreme Court and the state rooms. A visit to the Queen’s reception rooms, where the Queen receives foreign ambassadors and visiting heads of state, is featured during your visit. Of special interest are the 17 new tapestries in the Knight’s Hall, depicting 1,000 years of Danish history. They have taken 10 years to weave and were presented to the Queen on her 50th birthday in 1990.
Continue to Amalienborg Palace Square for a view of the beautiful Amalienborg Palace. The sprawling octagonal courtyard linking four rococo mansions and the impressive Marble Church is regarded as one of Europe’s finest examples of the staging Absolutism and is widely considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Home to the royal family since 1794, the palace houses numerous heirlooms and the charming garden, Amaliehaven.
No visit to Copenhagen would be complete without a visit to the city’s most cherished landmark – make a photo stop at the Little Mermaid statue, a small bronze figure inspired by the tales of Hans Christian Andersen.

From the pier, drive towards Sibelius Park. It was named after Finland's greatest composer Jean Sibelius on his 80th birthday in 1945. Here you can view the Sibelius Monument designed by Eila Hiltunen.
Then proceed to Temppeliaukio Church. Built from the natural bedrock, it is one of Helsinki's most popular tourist attractions. The interior walls are created naturally by the rock, hence its nickname the Rock Church. The church was opened in 1969. Due to its excellent acoustics, the church is a popular venue for concerts.
After the visit, drive to Senate Square; it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful urban squares in the world. The square is dominated by four buildings designed by Carl Ludvig Engel between 1822 and 1852: Helsinki Cathedral, the Government Palace, the main building of the University of Helsinki and the National Library of Finland.
Next, walk down from Senate Square to the very lively Market Place. Here, discover the real heart of Helsinki and enjoy free time walking around and tasting local foods. Re-board the coach for the return drive to the pier and ship.

From the Market Square, board a local ferry to reach Suomenlinna Island. The island is a major monument of military architecture. The construction of the sea fortress on the islands just off Helsinki in the middle of the 18th century was the most extensive building project during Swedish rule. When it was complete, its military shipyard was one of the biggest dry docks in the world and centres of know-how at that time. At the end of Swedish rule, the fortress was being compared with the maritime fortifications of Gibraltar. The 250-year-old fortress, which has been preserved intact because of its military use, is today part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Join your guide for a walking tour of the island. Enjoy a coffee stop with pastry and free time on the island.
From the fortress, head back to the mainland by ferry, where you will pass through the market before walking back to the ship.

Tallinn is a wonderfully preserved city of the Hanseatic League with its old town entered in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Departing from the pier, your coach will circle around the Old town, offering magnificent views of the medieval city wall.
You will start your guided walking tour in the Upper Town with its watch-towers, graceful spires and winding, cobbled streets. Visit the Russian Orthodox Church, inaugurated in 1900 and filled with a stunning array of superb icons. You will view the exterior of the castle which is now the seat of Estonia's parliament. Built on a cliff top the Upper Town provides superb vantage point from which to view the red gabled roofs and spires of the Lower Town.
Your tour will continue as you follow your guide down Long and Short Leg Streets to the Lower Town. The first visit here will be to a historical building in the city centre where you will be treated to a delightful Estonian folk show.
Once you are rested and ready to resume your touring, you will continue with a walking tour of the Lower Town. Among the highlights is the apothecary, which opened in 1422, the Great Guild House, Holy Ghost Church and the 15th century Gothic Town Hall (all from outside). Here in the heart of Tallinn, you will enjoy some free time before rejoining your coach and returning to the pier.

Departing from the pier by coach, you will pass the modern city centre with its hotels, banks and shopping centres. Reaching the Old Town, a stop is made at the Tall Hermann Tower to get an outside view of the imposing castle. You can walk to the Kiek in de Kök Tower to get a view of the towers and steeples of the Upper Town.
Continue your guided visit on foot to the old Hanseatic town viewing the Transfiguration church, Nun's Gate and numerous merchants' homes on your way. You can admire Gothic facades of the guild houses and the Holy Ghost church with the oldest street clock in Tallinn till you reach the Town Hall Square.
In the centre of the square is the 15th century Town Hall, one of the very few well-survived Gothic town halls in Europe. You will be treated a guided tour of this magnificent building visiting the citizens' hall which is now often used for VIP receptions and concerts as well as the councillors' hall where part of the unique 15th century furniture has been exhibited.
After the Town Hall inside visit, you can admire other old buildings that line the square paying a special attention to the facade of the Town Hall apothecary shop, probably the oldest pharmacy in Europe that has been functioning since 1422. You will also enjoy some free time there.
On the way back to your coach, pass the Viru gate, one of the three gates that has survived in the city wall.

The tour will start by a drive through the main streets of Turku, the oldest city in Finland and the first capital of Finland. The name Turku originates from a Slavic word 'torg' - meaning a market place. The Swedish name for the town is Åbo, referring to the first settlers by the River 'Å'.
Located in the harbour area, the Turku Castle is part of Finland's national heritage and has witnessed many great events. The castle's heyday was in the 16th century, and the new Renaissance spirited storey was built during that time. One of the most popular sights of the castle is the prison cell where Duke Johan held his brother, the ousted King Erik XIV, prisoner in the 1570s. Medieval woodcarvings are on display in the castle's chapel.
The Russian Czars architect C.L. Engel gave the town a new town plan and some stately buildings. You will see the Orthodox Church and the Swedish Theatre at the market and an observatory building on the Vartiovuori Hill. The first Finnish University founded in Turku in 1640 and then transferred to Helsinki after the Great Fire in 1827.
You will then proceed to the Aboa Vetus or Ars Nova Museum located on the banks of the river Aura. You will visit the Aboa Vetus' historical exhibition to learn about the history of the city.
Next visit will take you to the Cathedral considered as one of the major records of Finnish architectural history.
You will then return to the pier.

You will start this excursion with a tour to the small summer city Naantali. The Old town of Naantali is like a large open-air museum by the sea with winding narrow streets lined with beautiful old wooden houses. A picturesque yacht harbour, boutiques, restaurants and the Moomin Valley (Moonmins are imaginary characters in the tales of the Finnish writer Tove Jansson) add all to the charm of Naantali. The Medieval Convent Church of Naantali is the main venue and very popular for concerts. Covering the city districts of Södermalm, Gamla Stan, Norrmalm, Östermalm and Djurgården, this tour offers an excellent introduction to Stockholm from land and from the water.
Drive through the enchanting medieval Old Town, the Gamla Stan, with the Royal Palace dating from the 18th century, overlooking Stockholm's inner harbor. It is surrounded by many other magnificent old houses and palaces.
Continue past the Royal Opera House and through the modern shopping and business areas at Hamngatan and Sergels Torg.
Leave the coach and board a motor launch for a 50-minute Royal Canal tour into the Stockholm's National City Park.
Cruise along Strandvägen, one of the most exclusive areas in Stockholm, and through the green and lush park areas of Djurgården. Once a Royal hunting area, today Djurgården functions as Stockholm's amusement and recreation center. It is home to great parklands, beautiful gardens, cafés and restaurants, the Gröna Lund Tivoli, the Skansen Open-Air Museum and the well-known Vasa Museum, which houses the 17th-century warship Vasa.

From the pier, start with some panoramic sightseeing to the island of Djurgården, where the number one attraction in Stockholm is located, the Vasa Museum. You will enjoy a guided visit of the mueum, housing the warship Vasa, once the pride of Sweden’s mighty navy. On her maiden voyage in 1628 she capsized and sank in Stockholm’s inner harbour. In 1961, after 333 years at the bottom of the water she was salvaged and is today restored to much of her original magnificence.
You will continue your visit through the northern outskirts of the city and through the scenic countryside en route to Sigtuna, an idyllic little town, approximately 45 minutes drive north of Stockholm and beautifully situated between the Lake Mälaren and cultivated areas bearing countless traces of old cultural traditions.
Sigtuna was founded around 980 on the threshold of a new age as the Viking period became the medieval period, and Sweden united into one kingdom. Sigtuna became the first Christian town in Sweden, a centre of the new religion.
Many stone churches were erected but only the ruins of three of them remain to be seen. You will discover this charming town with picturesque wooden houses, narrow alleys and the smallest Town Hall in Scandinavia, dating from 1744. During your visit, tour the major points of interest including one of the Church Ruins, the Town Hall, St Mary’s church and “Stora Gatan”, the oldest street in Sweden.

Continue with your guide for a walk along the narrow streets of the Old Town and experience the medieval intimacy of what is today a living historical monument of international renown. Savour the bohemian atmosphere and the sense of age in houses dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries with Baroque doorways and coats of arms. You will pass by the National Opera, the Music Academy, the Central Railway Station, the Council of Ministers and the main business street in Riga: Brivibas. Your tour continues to the Town Hall Square, where you will see the House of Blackheads, the Roland Monument and St. Peter’s Church. A stop will be made at Livu Square to see the Cat House and the guild houses.

From the pier, board your coach for a drive to the local ferry and cross the lagoon to the Curonian peninsula, which is also known as Neringa. The old legend says that the giant Neringa gathered an apron full of sand and poured a ribbon of sand to divide the sea from the lagoon and thus make fishermen safer from sea storms.
Next, drive through this picturesque narrow stretch of land, which is 60.3 miles (97 km) long and see the diverse nature of the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On the way, pass through the oldest fishing village of Juodkrante (Blackshore) with its Amber bay, Lutheran church, and beautiful villas.
After a 1-hour drive, arrive in the main settlement of Nida for a guided walk in the center : see the fishermen’s cottages, beautiful weathervanes, flat bottom boat Kurenas and have a chance to buy some souvenirs or have refreshments in a local restaurant during your free time.
Continue to the nearby Kazimieras Mizgiris Amber gallery where you will find out all there is to know about amber, its origins and places where it can be found. See impressive pieces of amber, beautiful jewelry as well as the exhibits from the “amber treasure of Juodkrante”.
After the visit, drive to the 52-meter high Great Dune, and view the magnificent panorama over the dunes and the town. On a sunny day, you can also see the Russian territory of Kaliningrad !
Then drive towards the sea for a short stop to see the long sandy beaches, which have been awarded the Blue Flag and are considered to be one of the best on the coast of the Baltic Sea before returning to the pier and your ship.

Depart from the pier by bicycle to the pedestrian ferry and cross the lagoon to the Curonian spit, a UNESCO Heritage site, which is also known as Neringa. The short 10-minute trip by ferry across the lagoon to the Curonian spit is an enjoyable experience. Once you are on the Curonian Spit, bike along the lagoon passing Klaipeda yacht club on the way. Reach the Hagen Dune and make a stop to view the panorama of Klaipeda. Continue through the picturesque Curonian Spit and stop by the dunes. You will find out how the Curonian Spit forests were planted by human hands and saved the Spit from disappearance.
Continue on the forest trail and cycle out to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Klaipeda, also considered one of the best on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Take a break by the sea or get yourself a refreshment in the nearby cafe.
Ride to the 19th century Prussian military fort, which is now the Sea and Maritime Museum and greet the seals in the surrounding canal. Reach the very narrow Klaipeda Sea gate, where on your right you can see the Curonian lagoon and Klaipeda’s commercial port. On your left you will see the Baltic Sea.
On the way back to the ferry, ride along the breakwater. Pass old fishing vessels and a typical 19th century fishermen's farmstead before taking the ferry back to Klaipeda and bike to the heart of the Old town of Klaipeda. Stop at the Theatre Square and browse through the local craftsmen market before returning to the pier.

Kretinga is a quaint little town situated just a 30-minute drive north to Klaipeda. From the pier board your coach and drive to this city with its special charm.
You will first visit the Church of the Annunciation which dates back to the 17th century. On the grounds surrounding the church you will view the stations of the cross. See the 400-year-old main altar restored to its authentic glory and go down to the crypts.
The adjoining Franciscan monastery combines Renaissance and Baroque elements. The Franciscan brothers, who lived in the monastery, have made a great contribution to education in Lithuania. They opened the first school and later began publishing books and newspapers. The Franciscan monastery was closed by the tsarist government and again later in Soviet times. In 1992, after the independence, the Franciscans returned. They look after the church and hold warm and welcoming services. The church is invariably full when services are held. One of the brothers or sisters will guide you around the church if they are not at prayer.
Continue by coach through the center of Kretinga to Count Tiskevicius’ 19th century estate. This historic mansions is also widely known for its special home made chocolate, which is known since 18th century. You will be offered a cup of tea or coffee, special Count's chocolate and a piece of Lithuanian cake in a former Kretinga's Water Mill, which now houses a cozy family owned cafe.
Return by bus to Klaipeda and drive through the central streets. Pass the Neo-Gothic Post Office building, the Clock and Watches museum before making a stop in the Old Town of Klaipeda to view the sculpture of Annchen von Tharau in the Theatre Square.

Next, drive to the Polish Baltic Philharmonic and enjoy an exlusive concert of Polish classical music, which presents the most famous pieces of classical music written by Frédéric Chopin, as well as other great masters that continued his tradition: Edward Grieg, Fritz Kreisler, Wojciech Kilar (a contemporary film music composer) and Henryk Wieniawski. The entire programme will be performed by a renowned Polish pianist Rafal Lewandowski.

From the pier, you will join your local guide and board your coach for a 40-minute panoramic drive to the medieval city of Bad Doberan, a popular summer residence for the family of the Duke of Mecklenburg.
Here, you will enjoy a photo stop at the famous Minster, the medieval Gothic abbey of Doberan, to take some pictures of this impressive building from the 13th century.
After a short transfer by coach, you will reach the Molli Steam train station, and be greeted by the Molli Conductor. Launched in 1886, Molli is the nickname of the Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn Molli train, the oldest narrow-gauge steam-powered railway on the Baltic coast, running on 900mm gauge track.
You will board your exclusively reserved carriage after a brief introduction about the history of the train. Sit back and enjoy a scenic ride whilst listing to the tour guide en route to the seaside resort of Kühlungsborn.
Upon arrival at the train station your conductor will guide you to the Molli Museum where you can view a few historical artefacts before enjoying a coffee or tea together with a local sweet at the cute Molli café.

From the pier, board your coach with your local guide for an hour and a half minute journey to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck passing through the Northern German countryside.
Upon arrival in Lubeck meet your local guide and start your walking tour through the charming medieval old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first stop will be the impressive Holsten Gate, a relic of the old medieval fortifications that protected the city’s border then you will take a stroll through Lübeck’s romantic alleys and courtyards that extends like a labyrinth though the historical center. You will reach St. Mary’s Church, a medieval structure built in the 13th century and example of the German brick style of the north coast. Admire the buidling and listen to your guide's explanations, learning all about the church's history. You will then pass by the “Buddenbrooks” House, with its ornate façade and former home of the German writers Heinrich and Thomas Mann, both born in Lübeck. Next you will see one of Germany’s most impressive Town Halls, where you will gain a deeper inside on Lübeck as the “Queen of the Hanseatic League”. Heading back to the center you will pass by the Hospital of the Holy Spirit, originally built in the 13th century, it is one of Europe’s oldest charitable institutions caring for the sick and disadvantaged. Its impressive structure continues in the architectural pattern of the medieval brick style.
After this first experience of the city, you will enjoy lunch in one of the most famous local restaurants. Afterwards you will have free time to explore the treasures of this city independently.
Last but not least you will get an impressive glance of the city from the waterways. You will board your canal boat and take in the beauty of this city whilst cruising along romantic channels and sights. The captain of the boat will tell interesting anecdotes.

Enjoy a comprehensive look at « Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen », as the song goes, by land and water. Copenhagen is surrounded by water and a network of bridges connects the two main islands of Sjaelland and Amager, on which the city is built.
At Gammel Strand, formerly the old fish market, leave your coach to board a canal boat. You can enjoy the view as you sail on the narrow canals, passing the Christianborg Palace and Nyhavn canal area, through the harbour where you will pass the new Opera House, and onwards to the Langelinie area where you may spot your own cruise ship! You will also cruise by the statue of the Little Mermaid.
Your leisurely cruise continues through the canals of Christianshavn, a very charming area with houseboats and very low bridges. It has picturesque old buildings and Our Saviour’s Church, with its unusual green and gold steeple. Enjoy the historic buildings side by side with the newer architecture.
Back at Gammel Strand, opposite Christianborg Palace, embark your awaiting coach for a short sightseeing tour of the city. You will pass most of the main places of interest and make a short stop at Amalienborg Palace, residence of the reigning monarch Queen Margrethe II, for a courtyard visit.

From the pier, board your vehicle and depart for Christiansborg Palace, which was originally built on the ruins of Copenhagen Castle. Today, this palace is home to the Danish Parliament, the Supreme Court and the state rooms. A visit to the Queen’s reception rooms, where the Queen receives foreign ambassadors and visiting heads of state, is featured during your visit. Of special interest are the 17 new tapestries in the Knight’s Hall, depicting 1,000 years of Danish history. They have taken 10 years to weave and were presented to the Queen on her 50th birthday in 1990.
Continue to Amalienborg Palace Square for a view of the beautiful Amalienborg Palace. The sprawling octagonal courtyard linking four rococo mansions and the impressive Marble Church is regarded as one of Europe’s finest examples of the staging Absolutism and is widely considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Home to the royal family since 1794, the palace houses numerous heirlooms and the charming garden, Amaliehaven.
No visit to Copenhagen would be complete without a visit to the city’s most cherished landmark – make a photo stop at the Little Mermaid statue, a small bronze figure inspired by the tales of Hans Christian Andersen.

You will depart the port by coach for a short panoramic sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. You will discover all the charms of the Danish capital, the picturesque streets of the old city, art galleries, the famous Little Mermaid, the Tivoli Gardens and the royal palaces including Amalienborg, the royal family’s winter residence. Amalienborg is considered one of the greatest works of Danish Rococco architecture and was constructed in the 1700's. This architectural complex is made up of four identical palace facades spread around an octagonal courtyard with, at its centre, a statue of the founder King Frederick V. You will then visit Rosenborg Castle where the Crown Jewels are on display. It was built in the Dutch Renaissance style, in 1606 by King Christian IV as “a pleasure castle”. You will then head to the Nyhavn district on the banks of the canal which is lined with colourfully-painted houses. Nyhavn was originally a busy commercial port where ships from all over the world would dock. Today the beautiful old houses have been renovated and upscale restaurants overlook the old harbour.
